UNITED NATIONS, Feb. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan condemned "in the strongest possible terms" Friday's suicide bomb attack at a disco in Israel's northern city,Tel Aviv.

In a statement issued by his spokesman, Annan expressed the hope that immediate action will be taken to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

The terrorist attack "should not be allowed to undermine the recent positive steps taken by both sides" of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the statement said.

At least four people were killed and more than 30 wounded in the attack late Friday. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, a Palestinian militant group, has claimed responsibility. Enditem
