   RAMALLAH, Feb. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Thursday overwhelmingly approved the new cabinet formed by Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei.

   A total of 54 members of the legislative council voted in favour of the list while 10 deputies voted against and four abstained.

   The cabinet dominated by technocrats does not include members of the PLC.

   The following is the list of ministers in the new cabinet:

   Prime Minister: Ahmed Qurei

   Deputy PM and Minister of Information: Nabil Shaath

   Minister of Finance: Salam Fayad

   Interior Minister and in charge of security force: Nasser Youssef

   Minister of Foreign Affairs: Nasser al Qedwa

   Minister of Planning: Ghassan al-Khatib

   Minister of High Education: Naem Abu al-Homos

   Minister of Civilian Affairs: Mohammed Dahlan

   Minister of Social Affairs and Labor: Hassan Abu Lebda

   Minister of Culture: Yehya Yakhlof

   Minister of Women's Affairs: Zheera Kamal

   Minister of Public Works: Mohammed Eshteya

   Minister of Religious Endowments: Yousef Salama

   Minister of Justice: Farid Jallad

   Minister of Youth and Sports: Sakher Bseiso

   Minister of Prisoners' Affairs: Sufian Abu Zayda

   Minister of Transportation: Sa'ad el-Dein Kharma

   Minister of Local Government: Khaled al-Kawsmi

   Minister of Public Health: Zohdi el-Wiheidi
