Urgent: Bush arrives in Slovakia for first visit

    BRATISLAVA, Feb. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Amid tight security, United States President George W. Bush arrived in the Slovak capital of Bratislava on Wednesday evening for his first visit to the Eastern European country.

    The first US presidential visit to Slovakia would be the last stop for Bush in a four-day European tour, which has already brought him to Belgium and Germany.

    Bush wraps up his trip designed to reconcile transatlantic differences by meeting here Thursday with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Enditem
