Int'l music festival of Vina del Mar ends in Chile

    SANTIAGO, Feb. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- The 46th International Music Festival of Vina del Mar ended here Tuesday.

    The song "Mi Alma Entre tus Manos" (My Soul in Your Hands), written by Peruvian singer-songwriter Jorge Pardo, won the Best Song Award on Tuesday.

    Pardo was also awarded as the Best Singer on Monday with a songco-written by Jessica Sarango and Andre Landavere.

    The singer won a total prize of 40,000 US dollars with the two awards.

    Isabel Parra won the Best Folklore Song Award with the song "Cuecas al Sol" (Cuecas to the Sun).

    A number of Chileans singers and bands such as La Ley, Lucibell,Congreso and Alberto Plaza attended the festival, together with foreign musicians Miguel Bose and David Bisbal from Spain, JulietaVenegas and Cafe Tacuba from Mexico, and Babasonicos and Autenticos Decadentes from Argentina.
