BEIJING Feb. 22 -- Chinese director Zhang Yimou's film, "Qian Li Zou Dan Ji", had his world premiere in Tokyo today (on Tuesday).

Produced with a much smaller budget, compared to Zhang's previous films 'Hero' and 'House of Flying Daggers', the film features Japanese veteran actor Takakura Ken (¸ß²Ö½¡) as an old man accompanying his dying son to China whose last wish is to study a local opera.

The film's director Zhang Yimou highly praised Takakura Ken at the press conference in Japan.
