    BRUSSELS, Feb. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- US President George W. Bush said here Monday that he backs better cooperation with Europe in efforts to resolve the Mideast issue.

    Bush said in a speech that he backs a free and peaceful Palestine living side by side with Israel.

    Bush, who is on a three-day visit to Brussels, said the alliance of Europe and North America is the "main pillar of our security." Enditem
