URGENT: Bomb kills 5 in southern Thailand

    BANGKOK, Feb. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- Five people were killed and at least 40 injured in bomb explosion on Thursday evening in Thailand' s restive deep south.

    The blasts occurred around 7:00 p.m. at the Marina Hotel in thesouthernmost province of Narathiwat, lying some 1,000 km south of Bangkok.

    The explosion has killed five people and at least 40 were injured, local police told Xinhua's stringer. Enditem
