BEIJING, Feb. 17 -- The administration of Israeli prisons has issued a name list of 500 Palestinian prisoners to be released in the coming days.

    An Israeli ministerial committee confirmed the 500 Palestinian prisoners would be released soon.

    Official sources said the committee refused to release those Palestinians who were involved in attacks which caused Israeli casualties.

    The committee also refused a personal request by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to release four Palestinian prisoners, including Qassam al-Barghouti, son of Marwan al-Barghouti, the imprisoned secretary general of the Fatah movement in the West Bank.

    The list showed over 380 had finished more than half of their terms. Enditem
