Four US soldiers killed in Iraq

    BAGHDAD, Feb. 13 (Xinhuanet) -- Three US soldiers died in a traffic accident and one US soldier was killed in combat on Sunday in Iraq,the military said.

    According to a statement, the three soldiers from Task Force Danger were on a combat patrol early Sunday morning near the town of Balad, 80 km north of Baghdad.

    The accident occurred when their military vehicle rolled into acanal, it added.

    Later on Sunday afternoon, a US soldier was killed and another wounded near the restive town of Samarra, north of Baghdad."One Task Force Danger soldier was killed and one was wounded by indirect fire on a coalition forces base near Samarra," the military said in a separate statement, without providing further details.
