BOGOTA, Feb. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- The signing of a free trade agreement (FTA) between the Andean countries and the United Stateshas been postponed again, Colombian official sources said Saturday.

Blaming complexity and slow pace in the talks, the two sides have decided to extend negotiations by another two rounds, the sources said.

The agricultural issue, considered as one of the most sensitivefor Colombia, will be discussed on March 21 in Washington.

The two blocs will gather in Lima to focus on seeking new negotiators of the three Andean nations, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador, and the United States, for further discussion of issues on intellectual property and generic medicine.

The sources said the seventh round of negotiations, which endedon Saturday at Colombia's coastal city of Cartagena, made some progress on Colombian industrial products, 320 of which will have tariff free access to the US market.

The import of the used products, such as clothing or footwear, produced serious worries among the Andean countries. US chief negotiator Regina Vargo said the issue will be studied. Enditem
