MOSCOW, Feb. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Russian government led by Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov survived a no-confidence vote Wednesday when the State Duma (lower house of parliament) failed to get enough votes to approve the motion.

As most members of the lower house didn't cast votes, only 112 voted support for the motion, 20 voted against and four abstained. The no-confidence motion needs a simple majority of 226 votes to succeed in the 450-member State Duma. Enditem
