KABUL, Feb. 5 (Xinhuanet)-- The search operation for the missing Afghan plane would continue Saturday as the authorities failed to locate it till late Friday night, a NATO official said.

"We will continue to search for them and we do not rest until we find them," Vien Wolf Gang, Battalion Commander of NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), said before calling off the search in the suburbs of Kabul in Friday evening.

The ill-fated airliner with 96 passengers and eight crews on board went missing Thursday afternoon before attempting to land at the Kabul airport amid the heavy snowfall.

Afghan government as well as NATO-led multinational troops and US-dominated forces launched a massive search operation since the occurrence of the incident. Enditem
