PHUKET, Thailand, Jan. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- The Ministerial Meeting on Regional Cooperation on Tsunami Warning Arrangements kicks off here Friday.

    The meeting, which involves more than 40 countries and 13 worldorganizations, is expected to work out how to establish the early warning system for the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia.

    Representatives will hold discussions on the concept, capacity building, funding modalities and other related issues concerning the setting up of the system. Enditem
