Chinese premier meets Andorra PM

    BEIJING, Jan. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met here Monday with visiting Prime Minister Marc Forne Molne of the Principality of Andorra.

    Wen said the relations between China and Andorra have developedsmoothly since the two countries forged diplomatic ties a decade ago, and their cooperation on trade,tourism and other fields has expanded.

    The two countries have also maintained cooperation in international organizations including the United Nations, Wen said,adding he appreciates Andorra's adherence to the one-China policy.     

    He stressed that China holds all nations, big or small, rich orpoor, strong or weak, are equal members of the international community, adding that China and Andorra have consensus on promoting multipolariztion, the UN's leading role and cultural diversity.

    "We would like to enhance cooperation with Andorra based on theUN Charter and the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence," he said.

    Wen said he hoped China and Andorra would enhance mutual political support and strengthen cooperation in the fields of tourism, trade, service and culture.

    Marc Forne Molne said Andorra attaches importance to its relations with China, and will continue to adhere to the one-Chinapolicy.

    The agreement on taking Andorra as Chinese tourists' destination will help personnel exchanges and trade cooperation between the two countries, and Andorra would like to further cooperation with China, he said. Enditem
