ADB pledges US $ 200m to assist Sri Lanka

    BEIJING, Jan. 17 -- The Asian Development Bank, or ADB, has pledged 200-million US dollars to help with reconstruction effort in Sri Lanka.

    So far, the Asian Development Bank has budgeted 675 million dollars for tsunami-impacted countries.

    ADB President Tadao Chino visited tsunami devastated areas in Sri Lanka on Saturday and held talks with the country's senior officials.
