www.chinaview.cn 2005-01-15 21:22:12

GAZA, Jan. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Israeli soldiers killed six Palestinians on Saturday in two separate incidents in the Gaza Strip.

Several Israeli armored vehicles, tanks and jeeps raided the eastern Gaza City closed to the commercial passage of Karni on the borders with Israel where six Israelis were killed in a Palestinian suicide bomb attack late Thursday.

A Palestinian doctor said that Israeli soldiers shot dead four Palestinians, including a police officer and three residents of Zaytoon neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians were killed and 6 others injured by Israeli tank shells in the southern Gaza town of Rafah near the borders with Egypt, Palestinian security sources and medics reported.

They said that Israeli tanks opened gunfire at the residents' houses after a group of Palestinian teens managed to infiltrate into the Israeli army base on the border and steal weapons and ammunition.
