KIEV, Jan. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko has been elected Ukrainian president, the country's Central Election Commission announced Monday evening.
Yushchenko won 51.99 percent of votes (some 15.12 million voters) while his rival, former Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, got 42.20 percent (12.85 voters), Yaroslav Davidovich, head of CEC, told a press conference. Enditem |
