BEIJING, Jan. 5 -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has left Beijing for Indonesia to attend an international conference on how to cope with the aftermath of the devastating tsunami.

The one-day meeting, to be held Thursday in Jakarta, is organized by the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

Representatives from China, South Korea, Japan, the United States and New Zealand also will participate in the special conference.
