Premier Wen to attend ASEAN tsunami summit

     BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- Premier Wen Jiabao will attend an emergency tsunami summit in Jakarta of Indonesia on Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan announced here Sunday.

    Kong said Wen will confer with other participants on the international community aiding the tsunami-hit countries and on regional cooperation on disaster prevention.

    To attend the summit organized by the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are more than 20 heads of state orgovernment and representatives of international organizations. Enditem
