CHENNAI, India, Dec. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Massive rescue and relief operations continued in Andhra Pradesh Monday, a day after tsunamiwaves left over 90 dead and 212 others missing in the state.

Helicopters and boats were pressed into service by the Coast Guard, Indian Navy and Air Force to search for missing fishermen in high seas as the authorities were trying to grapple with the devastation caused by the tsunamis.

Navy personnel traced seven missing fishermen in Nellore district. Fifty fishermen missing in the sea off Guntur district also returned Monday.

The local government has put the death toll at 91. Relief Commissioner Ashutosh Mishra said 212 fishermen were still missing.

The authorities in the coastal districts have evacuated 35,000 people from low-lying and vulnerable areas along the coast to relief camps. Enditem
