Suicide bombing causes blast in Mosul: Pentagon

    WASHINGTON, Dec. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Chairman of US Chiefs of Staff General Richard Myers said Wednesday the blast in Mosul that killed 22 people was a suicide bombing.

    Myers said at a Pentagon news conference that the device appears to have been an "improvised explosive device worn by an attacker." He said the US military forces in Iraq will issue a statement later in the day detailing the result of the investigation. Enditem
