RAMALLAH, Dec. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian militants opened fireand shot dead an Israeli security guard near the security wall inthe southern West Bank city of Hebron on Wednesday, Israel Radio reported.

   The Israeli was a night-guard at the area near the village of Idna in Hebron, where the rest of the security wall is constructed,said the radio.

   Palestinian witnesses said the Israeli army searched the area for militants.

   No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.  Enditem
