RAMALLAH, Dec. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- British Prime Minister Tony Blair arrived in the West Bank town of Ramallah on Wednesday afternoon to hold talks with Palestinian National Authority (PNA) leaders. As soon as Blair arrived in Ramallah, he was received by Palestinian officials at al Muqata'a or the headquarters of the Palestinian presidency, which was late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's headquarters, also where his grave is.

Blair passed by Arafat's grave in the yard and stopped for two seconds, showing his respect to the late Palestinian leader. But the British premier didn't place a wreath of flowers on Arafat's grave before he went into the building to hold talks with the Palestinian officials.

One of the major subjects Blair would discuss with PNA officials would be the calls for holding an international peace conference with the participation of all parties involved in the conflict.Israel had said it would support holding a conference but declared it would not participate in it.
