5 killed in military helicopter crash in Indonesia

    JAKARTA, Dec. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- A helicopter belonging to the Indonesian Navy crashed in the Indonesian town of Nabire at 11:00 local time Wednesday (02:00 GMT), killing five people onboard.

    The Bell helicopter crashed a few minutes after taking off fromNabire in the easternmost province of Papua, carrying three crewmen and two civilian passengers, a police officer was quoted by Detikcom online news service as saying.
