BEIJING, Dec. 15 -- Li Xiang, a famous TV hostess, was recently rumored to have undergone plastic surgery when everybody knows that she is going to get married.

When a reporter called her to ask about the matter, Li said she had never had any such surgery. Meanwhile, she said she was not going to sue the company that was responsible for spreading the rumor.

"I can tell you affirmatively that every cell in my body is the original creation of my mother. Since my mother gave birth to me, nothing in my body has been modified," said Li.

The rumor originated from a Guangzhou-based newspaper, which carried an advertisement about a cosmetic surgery hospital that had Li Xiang's picture. The hospital also said Li frequently visited the hospital for facial massages.

"I have never been a publicist for any cosmetic surgery hospital. Nor have I received any surgery myself," Li said.

"The hospital has apologized to me. Their attitude is sincere and they will also apologize publicly in media. So, I will not file a suit against them."

"I am more beautiful because I am in love," she said in response to talk of people finding her more beautiful. "Do you think I need cosmetic surgery?"

So far, the hostess is busy preparing for her wedding, slated for Jan. 2.
