BEIJING, Dec. 15 -- David and Victoria Beckham have hired a butler to help open the family's presents on Christmas Day.

According to the UK's Daily Mirror, the couple have splashed out on so many gifts they expect to be unwrapping goodies for over four hours and need a little extra help.

"The person they've hired is one of the best in his field," reveals a friend of the family.

"In fact, he was originally booked by the Osbournes to spend Christmas with them, but the Beckhams really wanted him so they upped their offer.

Before lunch starts he's been instructed to go around and collect mobiles to ensure there's no disturbance during the meal.

His main job will be to ensure everything goes smoothly - although judging by how extravagant his bosses have been it's unlikely there'll be any unhappy guests."
