Jordan to set up ballot counting center for overseas Iraqis

    AMMAN, Dec. 13 (Xinhuanet) -- Jordan will establish a center to count ballots cast by overseas Iraqi voters in the Jan. 30 parliamentary elections, government spokes woman Asma Khader said Monday.

    At a press conference, Khader reiterated Jordan's support for the upcoming election in Iraq.

    "The election should reflect the will of the Iraqi people," she said. "Jordan hopes to ensure the participation of all sectors ofthe Iraqi society in the election."

    An estimated 100,000 to 120,000 Iraqis are living in Jordan.Enditem
