BEIJING, Dec. 11 (Xinhuanet) -- Pakistani security personnel have captured the mastermind of a militant Islamic group who allegedly kidnapped three UN workers in Afghanistan.
Pakistan Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed says Syed Akbar Agha, the chief of Jaish-al Muslimeen, or Army of Muslims, was captured in the southern city of Karachi this week.
The minister says that Agha has not been handed over to the Afghan government yet.
Three UN personnel working for the Afghan presidential elections were kidnapped in October and released one month later.
