WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- A man opened fire in a crowded nightclub Wednesday during a rock concert in Columbus, Ohio, killing at least four people and wounding at least two others, police said.

The man climbed onto the stage, started yelling and shot the band, when the heavy metal band Damageplan begun their first song.

He shot the guitarist five or six times at close range, said a witness.

According to the band's Web site, the guitarist and another member are formerly with the heavy metal band Pantera.

The gunman, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and hockey jersey, was shot dead at the scene by police.
