JAKARTA, Dec. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- The Indonesian government temporarily stopped issuing license for establishing new airline, following the tragedy of the Lion air in Central Java province, killing 31 people, a minister said on Thursday.
Indonesian Transportation Minister Hatta Rajasa said that the government would beef up control to the airlines in the country and asked them to enhance services.
"I have considered to temporarily close the issuance of new licenses for airlines," he told reporters here.
He said that currently the government would tighten control against 20 airlines.
"It is possible to revoke the license of a airline which does not meet the standards of security," he said. Enditem
