KIEV, Dec. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- Ukraine's parliament on
Wednesday passed a no-confidence motion in the government on its second try.
The motion, put forward by the opposition, was supported by 229lawmakers in the 450-member legislature, three more than needed toadopt the motion. The vote came minutes after the
parliament rejected the motion.
Ukraine is being bogged down in growing political
crisis triggered by a disputed presidential election. Prime Minister Viktor
Yanukovich won the Nov. 21 runoff, but the opposition refused to accept the
result.
Outgoing President Leonid Kuchma, who supported the
prime minister, said Wednesday he supported holding an entire new presidential
election, not just a revote of the disputed second round. Enditem
