GAZA, Nov. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- Two Hamas militants and a young Palestinian were killed Monday by Israeli soldiers near the Karni commercial passage in southern Gaza.

The two Hamas militants died in an exchange of gunfire with the Israeli soldiers, said Hamas armed wing, the al-Qassam Brigades, said in a leaflet.

Three militants dug an underground tunnel and two of them were killed while the third managed to escape, said the leaflet.

Medics said that an 18-year-old Palestinian was found dead in the southern Gaza town of Rafah under the rubble of a destroyed house, who was shot by Israeli soldiers on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, Israel Radio reported that as an Israeli army force was acting at the border between Rafah in Gaza Stripe and Egypt to undermine a tunnel, the tunnel collapsed, killing one soldier and injuring another.

Rafah residents said that the tunnel collapsed after Palestinian militants blew up a roadside bomb under an armor vehicle, a thingthat was denied by the army.

The al-Qassam Brigades and the Popular Resistance Committee claimed joint responsibility for the attack, in which only the two militants were killed.  Enditem
