Two freight trains collide in US

    WASHINGTON, Nov. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- Two freight trains collided head-on in the southeastern US state of Florida on Monday, killingone crew member, media reports said.

    Each of the trains had two crew members, the reports said. The other three crew members were injured in the crash, which caused 10 cars to derail, local officials were quoted as saying.

    The accident took place some 40 km northeast of Tampa, a shipping hub and tourist center in Florida, when one train going south from Georgia to Tampa slammed into the other train which washeaded north from Miami to Wildwood, Florida.

    Head-on collisions of trains were rare and it was not known what had caused the accident, the reports said. Enditem
