VIENTIANE, Nov. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- The 10-member ASEAN leaders signed here Monday the Vientiane Action Program, a vehicle for building an ASEAN Community through realizing and enhancing comprehensive integration.

    The Vientiane Action Program (VAP) is a six-year plan building up to the realization of the end goal of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) and the Declaration of ASEAN Concord II of establishing an ASEAN Community in 2020.

    VAP focuses on deepening regional integration and narrowing the development gap among member countries, particularly the least developed countries. Enditem
