CAIRO, Nov. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- An official of the World Bank said on Sunday that
the major financial organization is satisfied with economic reforms initiated by
the Egyptian government.
Mahmoud Ayoub, the head of the bank's Egypt Department, who will leave for
Washington after having ended his term in office, said ina statement that the
bank fully supports Egypt's economic measures,especially those related to
attracting investments and enhancing exports as well as slimming down
unemployment rate.
Ayoub revealed that the bank was considering financing three major projects
in the fields of ports, irrigation and electricity in Egypt.
Ayoub's term will end on Nov. 30, and his successor is due in Cairo on Dec.
