Israeli army destroys 5 houses in Rafah

     GAZA, Nov. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- The Israeli army bulldozers destroyed on Thursday five Palestinian-owned houses in the town of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, leaving 50 residents homeless, Palestiniansecurity sources and residents said.

    They said that three bulldozers backed by 10 Israeli army tanks and two Apache attack helicopters razed a wide area that included houses and farms.

    The bulldozers pulled out from the area after it destroyed the five houses and left 50 residents homeless, they added.

    Meanwhile, Israeli army forces stormed earlier Thursday the neighborhood of al Sallam near the borderline with Egypt are still operating into the area.

    The commander of Hamas movement's armed wing in the area of Rafah was killed as an Israeli army tank fired at him with a tank shell. Enditem
