Ukrainian president urges opposition to negotiate

    KIEV, Nov. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Ukraine's outgoing President Leonid Kuchma called on the opposition on Tuesday to negotiate over the disputed results of the weekend election.

    Kuchma demanded immediate talks among all sides to resolve a crisis over a disputed presidential election and dismissed mass opposition protests as a "political farce."
