GAZA, Nov. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Haidar Abdul, former Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) member, has announced his absolute rejection to be nominated as candidate for the presidential elections, one of his representatives said Sunday.

Abdul Shafi gave a final answer Saturday night and refused to run in the elections for health reasons, said Rabah Mhana,
politburo member of Popular Front for Liberating Palestine (PFLP).

Mhana said the PFLP respects the decision of Abdul Shafi, adding the five democratic forces would reveal the name of their candidate within the next two days and that consultations are underway.

Meanwhile, Saleh Zeidan, politburo member of Democratic Front for Liberating Palestine (DFLP), said "choosing Abdul Shafi came because he is a well-known national figure and enjoys the respect of everyone." Enditem
