Death toll rises to 11 in boat accident in Aegean Sea

    ANKARA, Nov. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- Turkish rescuers on Friday found onemore body of illegal immigrants whose boat was capsized two days ago, bringing the death toll to 11, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.

    Nine illegal immigrants drowned and three others survived, when a boat carrying 20 people capsized and sank off Doganbey hamlet of Seferihisar town in western city of Izmir on Wednesday, Seferihisar Sub-Governor Mehmet Godekmerdan was quoted as saying.

    Coast guard teams found one body on Thursday, and six people were still missing, he said.

    Aboard the boat were one Turkish, six Somalians and 13 Mauritanians. Enditem
