Special report: Concern mounts over
Yasser Arafat's health
RAMALLAH, Nov. 11 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian Mufti for
Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories sheikh Ekrema Sabri will do prayers
for late leader Yasser Arafat.
Sabri said Thursday
that he will carry a handful of sands from Al Aqsa mosque, the third holiest
shrine of Islam, to spread it on the grave of Arafat whose body will be buried
in his headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
Mufti said Arafat's body would be put in a stone coffin instead of a wooden one
so that his body will be moved to Jerusalem one day.
Arafat, 75, died at 3:30 a.m. (0230 GMT) Thursday at a French military hospital
where he had been treated for a blood disorder during the past two weeks.
