NAIROBI, Nov. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Burundian President Domitien Ndayizeye sacked
his deputy Wednesday, accusing him of sabotaging efforts to end the country's
civil war, according to reports available here.
Vice President Alphonse Kadege was fired one day after he said a referendum
on a disputed constitution would not be held on Nov. 26 as scheduled.
Civil war broke out in the central African country in
October 1993 after Tutsi soldiers killed the country's first elected leader, a
