Palestinians to announce death of Arafat Wednesday morning: Al-Arabiya TV

    RAMALLAH, Nov. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- The Palestinian side will announcethe death of 75-year-old veteran leader Yasser Arafat Wednesdaymorning, the Al-Arabiya TV channel reported Tuesday night.

    "Palestinian officials will make an announcement about thepassing away of President Arafat Wednesday morning," the TV reportsaid, quoting sources in France, where Arafat had been treatedsince Oct. 29.

    Earlier in the day, the Arabic-language news network said thatArafat had died at a French military hospital.

    On Tuesday, a senior Palestinian official said that if Arafatdies, all arrangements of funeral, burial, mourning and condolenceswould take place at al Muqataa, Arafat's headquarters in the WestBank city of Ramallah. Enditem
