| BRUSSELS, Nov. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- An explosion hit a Muslim school in southern
Netherlands Monday, damaging the door and shattering glasses nearby, but causing
no injuries, reports reaching here said.
The blast occurred at a school in Dutch town of Eindhoven, police said. As the
school was empty at the time of the attack, no injuries were reported.
Police are looking for possible links between the incident and the murder
of Dutch film director Theo van Gogh last week.
Van Gogh, 47, was killed in the Dutch capital of Amsterdam Tuesday morning
by a man dressed in a traditional Moroccan jallaba.
The film director had received death threats for his film Submission -- a
film on violence against women in Islamic societies.
The killer reportedly left a message on the director's body threatening
more attacks.
Van Gogh's death also aroused several other attacks over the weekend,
including two failed attempts to set fire on mosques.
The Dutch police had arrested six Moroccans, an Algerian and a Moroccan
with Spanish citizenship for the killing of Van Gogh, Radio Netherlands reported
Wednesday. Enditem |
