ISLAMABAD, Nov. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Pakistan and the United States will
discuss a wide rang of issues including cooperation in defense and war on terror
during the visit of US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage.
Masood Khan, the foreign office spokesman, told a weekly press briefing
here on Monday that Armitage is due to arrive here Monday and he planned to meet
President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Foreign Minister
Khurshid Kasuri and other high-profile officials.
"Pakistan would like to have a stable, durable and long-lasting relation
with the United States," said the spokesman.
He said the agenda of discussion would include Pakistan-India dialogue,
regional and international issues and the situation in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The two countries, Khan said, will continue cooperation in the war against
