Arafat's wife speaks out against officials
www.chinaview.cn 2004-11-08 16:29:33

BEIJING, Nov. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Arafat's wife has expressed her opposition to three Palestinian top officials visiting Arafat at the moment in France.

The officials have arrived in Paris to personally check on health reports concerning their ailing leader.

Arafat's wife, Suha Arafat used a telephone by her husband's bed side to publicly broadcast her opposition on Al-Jazeera television.

She said the visit would have a bad effect on Arafat's health.

The three visiting officials are: acting P-L-O leader Mahmud Abbas, Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei and Foreign Minister Nabil Shaath.

Arafat fell ill nearly a month ago with vomiting and diarrhea. Last week he was airlifted to France from his West Bank compound in Ramallah. Enditem
