EU to lift China weapons ban
www.chinaview.cn 2004-11-07 10:38:42

BEIJING, Nov. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Former Chinese ambassador to France, Wu Jianmin, believes the European Union will lift their weapons embargo on China, China Radio International reported Sunday.

Wu Jianmin says it's only a matter of time before the EU rescinds the ban, which will be in the interests of both China and Europe.

During his recent visit to China French President, Jacques Chirac, said the ban on the export of weapons to China was pointless and many European countries favored lifting it. Enditem
