GAZA, Nov. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei arrived in the Gaza Strip Saturday noon, Palestinian official sources said.

Qurei went to the headquarters of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Executive Committee in the Gaza Strip, the
sources said, adding that he is scheduled to meet with leaders of security apparatuses and national and Islamic factions.

The meetings would discuss how to stabilize the situation in the Gaza Strip in case of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's death.

The meetings come amid reports that Arafat, who is now in France for medical treatment, remains in critical but stable condition. Enditem
