PARIS, Nov. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- France, Germany and Great Britain on Friday held meeting with Iran in Paris, seeking for compromise over Tehran's nuclear program to avoid bringing the matter before the UN Security Council.
The three European countries, representing the 25-member EuropeUnion (EU), hoped to persuade Iran to cease its activities relatedto uranium enrichment in exchange for a nuclear cooperation with EU.
If Iran does not give up the enrichment, the United States threatens that the Vienna-based IAEA will decide in a meeting in Vienna on Nov. 25 on whether to take Iran before the UN Security Council.
The Paris meeting is in the framework of a diplomatic process aiming at finding a solution with Iran before the meeting on Nov. 25, a British diplomat said. Enditem
