GAZA, Nov. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- One Palestinian militant was killed in an attempt to storm the settlement of Kfar Darom in the Gaza Strip Sunday night, Palestinian security sources said Monday.

Saraya al Quds, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad (Holy War), said in a leaflet that a group of its militants managed to storm the settlement and clashed with Israeli soldiers.

Mohammed al Qayed, 22, was killed in the clash, while two others retreated after wounding at least one Israeli settler, said the leaflet.

However, an Israeli army spokesman said Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinian militants around the settlement.

The spokesman said that the Israeli army was keeping the two bodies and did not hand over them to the Palestinian side. Enditem
