KIEV, Nov. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych led the
presidential elections by gaining 49 percent of the vote with about 22
percent of the precincts counted, said the Ukrainian Central Elections
Commission early Monday.
His main
challenger, opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko received 32 percent, said the
commission.
However, since both of the them fail to score the 50 percent needed to win
outright n the first round, a runoff winner-take-allballot between the two will
